Cape Cod, Massachusetts (Sept 3rd - Sept 7th)

Boarding the Ferry in Falmouth, MA to Martha's Vineyard

Cape Cod - - walking barefoot on the sand, feeling the sunshine on your skin, smelling the salt air, what more can I say...except maybe Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket!!!

We setup camp in Bourne, Massachusetts which is located in the upper region of the Cape. From there we were able to venture throughout the Cape to some wonderful scenic, as well as historic, venues.

We took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard; drove to Plimoth Plantation (a living history museum of the Mayflower voyage & the first settlement); visited Aptucxet Trading Post (first Trading Post in the new America); and walked a picturque boardwalk in the Cape's oldest town of Sandwich, Massachusetts.  (This boardwalk was voted top 10 by National Geographic.)   Regrettably, we did not make it to Nantucket this time around, but hey...there is always another trip. 😁

Next up on this little road trip is the great state of Rhode Island.
